The inception of The Grace Project can be traced back to our Kensington Outreach program, which was established with the ambitious goal of magnifying the transformative impact of our Founder's personal journey from homelessness to stability—a journey ignited by a stranger's act of kindness. Every Thursday, our dedicated team conducts outreach activities in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, distributing essential supplies such as hygiene products, food, and clothing, while also providing vital wound care services to the unhoused individuals in the area in response to the pressing Xylazine crisis. Beyond the immediate provision of survival necessities, our overarching objective is to foster meaningful communication with those experiencing homelessness. Through these interactions, we aim to guide individuals towards accessing resources that can facilitate their transition off the streets. Additionally, our commitment to community improvement is evident in our proactive approach to street cleanup during our distribution activities. Making it a priority to leave each area in better condition than we found it, we aspire to extend our efforts to benefit not only the unhoused population but also the broader community.
